Oxytetracycline is used to treat infections of the respiratory tract (pneumonia), urinary tract, soft tissues, and skin. It is used for infections caused by a wide spectrum of bacteria, except that resistance is common among gram-negative bacilli of enteric origin and staphylococci.

Oxytetracycline 20% is used for the treatment of secondary bacterial infections that complicate primary respiratory infections in poultry, pigs, and calves, caused by bacteria sensitive to oxytetracycline therapy as well as for the treatment of gastro-enteritis in pigs and calves caused by bacteria-sensitive to oxytetracycline therapy.
Indication of use:
Pigs: tetracyclines have been used to treat atrophic rhinitis, pneumonic pasteurellosis, and Mycoplasma infections.
Chickens: Oxytetracycline 20% is indicated for the treatment of infections caused by bacterial and mycoplasmal organisms in Poultry i.e. CRD, Sinusitis, Infectious Coryza, Pneumonia, Blue-comb, Air sacculitis, Infectious synovitis.
